Simple Sunday {Snapshots of Fall and Reflecting}

Happy Sunday friends! I hope today is filled with love and laughter wherever your day takes you.
Here, in our little city, we are experiencing cooler mornings that warm up by mid afternoon and then cool back down again in the evening. So, we are trying to get out as much as possible to really soak in the fleeting sunshine and the warm sun rays.
Midday we bake and cook and take walks in forests that are changing from green to gold and red.
The simple moments spent enjoying each other and nature are always the memories we remember the most vividly. I am trying to capture it all in my memory and with the help of my trusty phone.
Here are a few snapshots that feel like Fall to me, and some that I shared on my IG feed.
“Autumn
begins with a subtle change in the light, with skies a deeper blue, and
nights that become suddenly clear and chilled. The season comes full
with the first frost, the disappearance of migrant birds, and the
harvesting of the season’s last crops.”
Glenn Wolff and Jerry Dennis

“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one autumnal face.”

John Donne

“Autumn, the years last, loveliest smile.”
William Cullen Bryant

“I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as
autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the
daylight hours in the open air.”
Nathaniel Hawthorne

“Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits.”
Samuel Butler

“Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn.”
Elizabeth Lawrence

We hope you are able to enjoy a beautiful sunny fall day wherever you are today.
Simple Sundays spent with loved ones are always the most endearing.
