WELCOME TO AUDREY’S CLUBHOUSE!!!!!!!
We talked about Audrey wanting a third birthday party to remember HERE
The birthday girl was super excited to bounce the day away on our bouncy castle and eat all the sweets she could!
It was a birthday to remember!
Our little girl wanted a Mickey Mouse House birthday party this past summer and we were more then happy to oblige her!
We were ready for classic mickey mouse ears, stickers, colouring books and all things black white and red.
I knew for a three year old’s birthday party we would need a classic sweets table complete with Mickey Mouse themed cookies. to go along with our hot diggity dogs and other bbq goodness.
What child doesn’t like a table FULL of goodies!!
Since my children love to be in the kitchen working side by side with me, I found some sweet ideas they could easily help with.
We started off by buying a ton of red and white chocolate wafers and lots of different kinds of sprinkles. We came up with this cold version of our favorite snack: roasted marshmallows on a stick.
The kids loved poking the marshmallows on to wooden skewers, dipping them in melted white chocolate and then again into a bowl of sprinkles of their choosing.
They loved getting to take turns with the sprinkles and kept dedicating each different skewer to a different friend. So cute.
We bought plain round cookies and dressed them up with a coating of melted chocolate and blue sprinkles to match our accent colour that made the party more “us”. π
We showed you how to make these HERE
Super easy and so so delicious!
I made little signs with “Disney font” found HERE that invited our friends to help themselves to the treats we made just for them!
My children insisted we add Mickey Mouse stickers to our little signs.. π
Chocolate wafer cookies, pixie sticks, Lolly pops, smarties, jujubs, fruit toffee, and cherry-red jellie bellies all found themselves in glass jars and canisters we collected from around the house.
We made lots of triple chocolate cupcakes.
(Homemade chocolate cake, with chocolate icing and Mickey Mouse shaped toppings made out of Oreo cookies and filled with chocolate!)
We halved oreos to make Mickeys face and used small oreos for little iconic Mickey ears.
There were lots of bright colored treats!
Black white and red balloons!
I free handed Mickey silhouettes for an extra layer on our table.
Do you notice something in the corner??
Did you see it??
My husband finally had a good enough excuse to buy one of these beauties (below) since we were having a large group of people!
It makes the house smell like a movie theatre!! YUMM!
“Easy Peasy Lemon Squeazy Lemonade.”
For those with keen eyes π
We decorated inconspiculously…
Here is a closer look..
Yaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
We set up an indoor car mat under an umbrella in the corner of the yard. It was a SUPER hot day in mid July and little ones need shade!
There were lots of little kids and babies, and almost babies π
There was lots of bouncing around!
There were some sad moments, though adorable. I love that little face!
And some happy moments, times two!
…and three!
There were cute little faces in every corner!
We wanted to capture some extra special memories of our friends being silly!
So we made some Mickey-esque ears (tutorial from a five year old to come) and set them up in a vintage suitcase with other costume pieces…
We invited our friends to “SAY CHEESE, IT’S PICTURE TIME!” infront of a big happy birthday banner complete with the whole clubhouse gang.
They had a lot of fun with it, can you tell?
After a happy birthday song and Mickey Mouse cupcakes..
She opened lovely presents from lovely friends.
The day came and went in a flash of sweet moments.
Much like the last three years of our darling little girls’ life.
I cant believe she is three!
What a lovely little blessing she is to us everyday.
I’m looking forward to one hundred and three more years spent loving on my little angel-girl.
