Holiday mornings are my favourite.
I want to soak them in like the first sunshine rays of spring or drink them up like a hot cup of tea.
Savoring every last second.
They seem like a gift.
If “Daddy” is home to enjoy these rare occasions, the kids and I want to memorize each moment of the day and start the day off like it is a party. We love pulling out the special dishes and setting the table the night before to wake up to our celebratory table.
We did some creating this week to make the table look even prettier than ever.
We had some gold paint burning a hole in our craft box, so we prettied up some little Terra cotta pots by painting some gold paint to their rim.
They make the perfect little egg holders for our eggs-tra special family breakfast.
We love using items we already have laying around, and using them in a different way then they are meant to be used.
A special breakfast means breaking the rules and bringing in some yummy sweets to enjoy.
A rarity.
And well worth the splurge when our kids exclaimed, “This is the best breakfast I have ever had!” with gooey red raspberry jam outlining their smiles.
Our Spring tablescape wouldnt be complete without the beuatiful hand made runner adorning its center.
I am in love with this diy burlap runner my precious mama whipped up last week while we chatted away in her craft room with babies playing at our feet.
I love its addition of tone and texture to our sleek table. I will definitely be keeping this gem front and center on our table for a long while.
It is this little boys first Easter this year!! I cant wait to adorn his bald head with our traditional Easter bunny ears and snap a billion pictures or more.
Our independent girl can fix her own breakfast any day of the week!
This year these kids are so enthralled with hearing the Easter story.
They love the
part about there being no one in “the cave” except for angels!!
part about there being no one in “the cave” except for angels!!
We hope you get in some good ole quality time with those that you love this weekend and that you get to enjoy watching little ones hunt for eggs and dig into a chocolate bunnies ear.
And above all, I hope you remember the reason we celebrate Easter is to proclaim that
“He is risen!”
