A Fall Tablescape (Thanksgiving table ideas)

Over here we are catching our breath above the piles of Christmas decorations, but I wanted to pop in to share our Thanksgiving table from last month.
If
you are Canadian then you probably stuffed yourself full of good food a
few weeks ago, and if you are American, you are probably salivating
just thinking about the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner you will soon be
enjoying with your loved ones.
Back in mid October, we enjoyed a nice meal at home with our little family on the Thanksgiving Monday.

My
daughter and I share a love for setting a pretty table and together we
went through our stacks of dishes and our decoration pile and came up
with this years DIY table.
Basically, this table is a combination of up cycled items and re purposed decorations.
My decorating motto is to look at items with a critical and creative eye. If you like something but it isn’t the right colour, you can always paint it, just like we have done with this table setting. If you need something, put it on your list and
remember to check your local thrift stores before buying anything brand new. Hello! Saving moula! When you love to change your homes decorations as often as I do, thrifting and collecting will save you so much money. Not to mention, it is always so exciting to root through junk and find something worth buying.

This years table proves you don’t need to break the bank to get an appealing table scape. You may jut have
everything you need to put a similar table together for next Canadian
Thanksgiving or for this next weeks American Thanksgiving.

We snapped some pictures for your viewing enjoyment and I put together a source list at the end of this post.

Very cute! I love the differing heights of all the cake stands. Are you going to celebrate US thanksgiving too?! Sometimes I feel like I should – just as an excuse for another holiday:)
