A Look Back At ALL Of Your Favorite 2013 Posts!! {Reveals, Projects and DIY – OH MY!!.}

2013
was a great year all around for us! 

I hope it was for you too. 🙂

Together with my hubs and babies, we added some character to
our home by doing simple crafts and re purposing along the way. We are a
busy family of five, so though we may always be working on This Little
Estate of ours, no project can be too difficult and everything must involve our
inquisitive little ones. 

I started off 2013 by writing a post filled with fifty
random facts that made me believe that I am finally qualified to be
considered a parent. It is about time too, since we have three little people who sleep in our house and who will ultimately blame us, or thank us, for their therapy when they are adults.

Along with our three helpers, we also started and finished some upgrades in our main floor bathroom that our babies primarily use.

Then, with my husbands help we turned a cheap mirror into something special. 

We added the mirror to our master bedroom and refinished some bedside tables for our room as well.

I shared a little of our personal life with a sequel to our babies birth story.

We made an easy hour long project that ended up dressing up our daughters bedroom.

And then we got right to work demolishing the other side of our lower level. 

Salon Update {Demo, A Plan, and how it is today!}

 

We made over a hard working numbered dresser that helps keep the whole family organized and shared our step by step process.

 

I got my plate-on and shared our new plate wall love.

 

Our coffee corner got a little makeover and turned into an efficient little baking corner.

 

We showed you our dining room reveal, complete with our newly refinished table and chairs.

 

Our little girl turned four and we celebrated with a Magical Garden Tea Party.

 

One of our most well loved posts was this one about turning a mason jar into a pretty soap dispenser.

 

With a new gallery wall and some living room additions, we shared a little living room reveal.

 

I discovered in 2013 that I have an aversion to gluten and shared some of my new favourite recipes. You guys must have loved these gluten free pancakes as you kept coming back to see the yummy pics and to make the recipe!

 

We began a Salon bathroom makeover this year and we showed you how far the space had come. I cant wait to show you the reveal in 2014!!!

  

We gave you a little look at our easy fall table and I shared a business plan for our future.

  

We stuck to our theory that reusing is the best way to add character (and art!) to any space with this DIY project and our ever evolving gallery wall.

 

 Most recently, we gave you our take on a rustic chic look with this nod to the holidays.

I cant believe we are now already into 2014! 

This past year turned out to be such a fun learning experience for me. I learned even more about blogging and loved sharing with you all along the way. I learned that I really am so passionate about living a greener life by using resources and re purposing with items around us for decorating and remodeling our home.

 I learned that my babies are great little assistants and that they have fabulous ideas even at such young ages. I learned that working together is fun and bonding and makes up most of my happy memories from this past year.

With this next year open before us, all expectant and new, I hope to bring some new things to This Little Estate and to really give you, the reader, more of what you are looking for.
