Working on the Lower Level.

 

So this little cutie and I braved the constant cold rain this week and made a trip to visit our helpful friends at Home Depot. She with her paint chip, and me with a swollen face from my run in with a bee! {Long gross story, but it turns out after a visit to the ER, the little bee didn’t want to be eaten — though it was made into my sandwich from a local coffee shop. ;(…}

 

Gross, I know. Don’t remind me. A bug IN my mouth. Enough said.

 

We hurried home with our Behre Paint and Primer in the colour “Pot of Creme” and got to work painting the wall, and taking Benadryl every few hours.

 

 

This adorable little man was a trooper and let me paint while he worked out his gums. Sooo cute!

 

We have been painting non stop, working on electrical, cutting the new ceiling, caulking and painting it, mudding the walls multiple times and clearing out the room of many tools to make room for our new flooring!! (Thanks for your help Mama! You can work a mean broom! -No witch pun intended. :D)

 

I am able to type this because these allergy steroids are making me woozy enough to need a break and our tool for cutting the floor just DIED. It is 9:30 pm and my husband is running out to Home Depot again to get the battery he needs.

 

This is precisely why we move from one project to the next. If we run into some bumps along the way we just start another couple projects to keep us occupied till we can run across town to the Hardware store again.

You have no idea, how many times I have wondered why we didn’t just move closer to the Hardware store!!!

 

I hope we aren’t the only ones why always manage to run out of screws or putty of some sort, or whatever it is we need, multiple times during any given project on any given day…

 

I DO hope, however that I am the only one who has had the surprise of finding a bee in a sandwich. 😉
