Differnt usage for dining room chairs.

I love when things come together.
Like when you throw together an outfit in the early morning, in a darkened bedroom and later on in the day, you look down at yourself and are flabbergasted that your outfit of choice MATCHES
You early morning risers KNOW what I mean.
I feel the SAME way about the chairs that came with our dining room set; the ones with the beautiful arm rests.
I have spent two years wondering how to set up our living room area.
When I ditched the big ole chair that we bought with our couch set when we were newly married, I changed and redesigned our living room.
At one point, I coveted a set of little tub chairs and dreamed about a pair of matching wing back chairs.
Please tell me your dreams are all about living room furniture too??
In the end, when we bought and redid a new dining room set, talked about HERE, I knew that the end chairs could be used as a separation in our rectangular shaped living room.

With a little paint, and a lot of reupholstering, these two look mighty fine separating our small desk area from our living room.
You can see the Before HERE.
I went with covering the chairs with white seats because I am crazy and despite my husband questioning my sanity with three children, I love the lighter feeling the white cushions give.
The chairs in general don’t cut off the sight line of the open space behind them and they can be easily moved and used as goal posts for indoor hockey games for extra seating.

Now, we can invite even more guests over since we have added a few more places for people to perch comfortably.
SO, who is coming over this weekend??
No, seriously
It’s sunny and the deck is calling for a leisurely barbecue.
I can almost smell the scents of summer!
If you cant join us, I hope you have a fabulous weekend wherever you are!

These chairs look great in your living room! I love how it really lightens up the room and gives you more seating space. I'd be honored if you linked this up to our All Things Thursday Blog Hop that is live right now. Hope to see you there!

Great idea Bethany, I like to use two slip-covered dining chairs on each side of our living room console for extra seating sometimes. But they can define a space really well too like you did, great idea!!
